Once they are on the blog, the fun begins!- After that blog post is created, people will have the opportunity to vote on the blog for their favorite. Mom was wondering if this session was going to happen. We had this session booked and twice had to cancel from cold or rain. Thankfully The beautiful weather came back and we were able to get this little guy out in the sunshine. I told you there is not going to be winter.

Well here we are in Nov and are still lucky to have color and sunshine! The sky was amazing today.
I am in NO rush for snow.. it's pretty and love taking pictures in it.. but I love heat, and it's no fun to drive in.. so if we can go w/out this year.. I wont complain... ok.. how about Christmas day ONLY!

This wedding was stunning, and the bride had so much in store for her husband to be.
Horse and Carriage, African drummers and dancers and fireworks were some of the things the groom had no idea about.

Driving over to Kincardine, I was not sure what mother nature was going to bring. The closer I got, I hit blue skies and white fluffy clouds... It was a very humid day.. thank goodness the ceremony was on the beach. All was beautiful. Glad I could be apart of your special day.

Something for birds..

This is the 3rd bird my husband has saved, you likely remember when i first started my blog, the babies that fell out of the nest...

well this little guy smashed into our front livingroom window and landed on his back in the garden... he was wide eyed looking around, just not moving... so he went out and rolled him over.. and we decided to hold him for a pic.

He was nice enough to leave some droplets on his hand... I almost took a picture of that too.

An hour later he flew away.

Spring has Finally Sprung!

" My sweater's tight and itchy, My snow pants are too small, Last week I lost a mitten, I can't find my scarf at all!
My woolen socks have lost their toes, My boots have lost their tread, and I have lost the love I had for words like "skis" and "sled"!
But . . . my fishing rod still fits, and . . . my baseball bat still hits, I have a kite that wants to fly.
So . . . winter, call it quits! "

I wanted to talk a little about Trash the Dress, as there is a alot of people interested in this.

I had a lot of interest at the Bridal show.
Some have never heard of it before.
First dont let the word TRASH scare you... It is entirely up to you what you do in your dress.

It just gives you the opportunity to spend some extra time in your dress, doing what you want to do, getting the portraits you want without having to worry about getting it dirty and running out of time on your Big day. Have a little fun! Husbands are welcome to join in.
You can choose to do this the next day or months later.

What a fun night! My Little guy really enjoyed it this year, he wanted to go go go til there was no houses left. It drizzled and we ignored it til we could not ignore it anymore. Now it is all done for another year. Next holiday is my absolute favorite!

The farthest I have been is Florida and we drove.

My Daughter got pulled up on stage and got a kiss from him... patiently waiting for mine..I encourage you to go see him if he's near! He's in Ontario in December 2007!

**My Husband and I were together 10 years and engaged 7 years before finally getting married last year.

**I met with another photographer this summer from Indiana for the first time and we clicked... she's like a sister to me.. love her and her family. Hope to continue seeing her every year from now on. Love ya Mel!

Holidays and Heat!

WOW it's hot out there! We just got back from a weeks holidays. Camping out at Sauble Beach is always fun for us. A time to bond and hang out on the beach when it's so hot you can't do anything else. Here is a couple shots from our holidays.. a sunset shot and 2 silouettes of father/son bond. (he's really a momma's boy) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Poor Little Guys..

I was hanging clothes on the line yesterday when my Daughter Savannah screamed "eww a baby bird", so I kept my distance and noticed yup it was a newborn baby bird fallen from the nest.

I immediately had to grab the camera and take pictures without getting too close.

There was no way I was touching this thing, so I called my husband Kevin home, they were just too cute, I had to save them. By the time he got home a 2nd had fallen. He put them back up in their nest.

It is an old Wives tale that mom's will abandon their babies if touched by human, birds do not have that strong of senses. If you ever see a baby bird, pick it up and cup it in your hand and warm it up then return it to the nest.
